Ultra Pro Puzzle Cards

Index | Black Lotus | Chaos Orb

In 1996, Ultra Pro had a contest called "Black Lotus Quest" where pieces of two famous Magic cards were distributed with their Deck Protector products. If you assembled the entire card (nine pieces), you would win the approximate cash equivalent of that card: $100 for the Chaos Orb, $250 for the Black Lotus. As is typical with contests of this sort, eight of the pieces are common and easy to find; the ninth is ultra rare.

The contest ended on 30 June 1997, but Ultra Pro is still the standard in safe storage.
